The village of Vamos :
The area around Vamos is a lush landscape, just a few kilometres from the coast. Many tourists visit Vamos or stay in the village or in the surrounding villages of Gavalochori and Kalyves. There is much infrastructure in the village including the town hall, a large medical centre, the court and the high school of the region, as well as several restaurants, snack bars and shops, largely serving the local community.
