The island of Crete is a place of great natural diversity and it can cover the tastes of every demanding visitor. Golden beaches with clear crystal waters are combined with the wild beauty of rocky Cretan mountains and fertile valleys.

The mountains of Crete are filled with many spectacular gorges offering amazing scenery throughout the island. The most popular one is the Gorge of Samaria in the south part of Chania.

At 18km length, it is said to be the longest gorge in Europe and has been designated as a national park attracting a large amount of visitors every year.
